Matthew Forest is 38. He was raised in London by his wealthy father but has journeyed halfway around the world to hopefully learn a little about his mother. She was one of the Trelor Sect and died when Matthew was a baby.

 

Nicole Dixon is 36. She has several part-time jobs and a 10yo daughter. Her husband recently left her for someone younger and slimmer. Her mother was also a member of the Trelor Sect, and died when she was a baby.

 

Bernadette is pushing 50 and some months out of rehab. She’s Nicole’s best friend, and is very interested in Matthew’s arrival in Goran Vale.

 

Bert Dixon is Nicole’s father and a quiet-living dairy farmer. He remembers more about the Trelor Sect than he is comfortable passing on.

 

Alyssa Lloyd is fresh out of night-school where she studied journalism. She’s all over an investigation into the 30 year unsolved Trelor Sect killings. And she’s also very interested in the new man in town.

 

In recent years, wealthy people from Sydney have been buying up old defunct farming properties around Goran Vale and setting them up as get-away retreats from the city. The small mountain village is beginning to recover some of its tulip blossom.
